Base & Fabric

Usually made on lightweight fabrics like georgette, chiffon, mulmul, or kota doriya. The base is sheer and flowy, perfect for draping.

Chikankari Work

The main body features delicate chikankari embroidery. Common stitches : bakhiya shadow work, phanda knots, keel kangan, and murri. Motifs are floral -bel,buti,- spread across the field or concentrated on borders and ends. In hand chikankari it's subtle and textured; chikankari neat stitches.
